United Christian Hospital

On 13 July 2012, Finance Committee of the Legislative Council approved the funding of HK$352.3 million for preparatory works of the expansion of United Christian Hospital.

The two temporary buildings located in United Christian Hospital and Tseung Kwan O Hospital are for decanting the services and facilities at Blocks F, G, H and P (Low) to be demolished.

On 10 July 2015, Finance Committee of the Legislative Council approved the funding of HK$1,791.6 million for the main works (demolition and substructure works) of the expansion of United Christian Hospital. The demolition of the existing Blocks F, G and H and P (Low) and the substructure works for Block A and Block S Extension commenced in August 2015.

On 26 June 2020, Finance Committee of the Legislative Council approved the funding of HK$16,214.1 million for the main works (superstructure and refurbishment works) of the expansion of United Christian Hospital. In addition, the United Christian Medical Service has undertaken to contribute HK$100 million towards the capital cost of the project. The superstructure and refurbishment works and associated works are planned to commence in the third quarter of 2020.

Subsequent to the funding approval from Finance Committee of the Legislative Council, the main works of expansion of the United Christian Hospital commenced in September 2020.

The construction has been completed in phases starting from November 2025.
