Members of the Kwun Tong District Council supported the main works (superstructure and refurbishment works) in January 2020.

Main works (demolition and substructure works) commenced in August 2015.

Members of the Panel on Health Services of the Legislative Council supported the project in January 2015.

The preparatory works commenced in August 2012.
