Place for meditation in hospital
We are committed to provide all-rounded facilities for medical care, as well as to care for the psychological need of our staff and patients. A chapel located on G/F of the new ambulatory/rehabilitation block (Wai Ming Block) is specially designed for prayer and meditation.
Isolation Room
The isolation room, with adequate ambient daylight, provides a warm and pleasant environment for patients. The exhaust outlet is located at a low level to avoid accumulation or diffusion of infectious and highly communicable diseases.
Better facilities in ward cubicle
Each ward cubicle is equipped with toilet and shower facilities for the convenience of the 6-8 patients staying there, especially elderly and patients with disabilities. The installation of patient hoist from ward cubicle to assisted bathroom could effectively facilitate transportation of patients with disabilities. More space is provided between each bed to facilitate delivery of bed side treatment to patients and enhance patients’ privacy.
Link Bridge
Two link bridges connect Wai Shun Block (acute block in phase 1) with the new ambulatory/rehabilitation block and Wai Oi Block (administrative block and nursing school) to facilitate traffic flow to major clinical departments. The link bridges also facilitate the patients' transfer from acute wards to rehabilitation wards to improve efficiency of bed management.
The space on the link bridge could allow conveyance of two patient beds in parallel.
